Vecchi receives 2017 AGU Ascent Award

vecchie_g.jpgGabriel Vecchi, Princeton University professor of geosciences and the Princeton Environmental Institute, was one of four scientists nationwide to receive a 2017 Atmospheric Sciences Ascent Award from the American Geophysical Union (AGU), the world’s largest Earth- and space-science society. Seventy-five scientists from various disciplines were selected by their colleagues for AGU awards based on innovative research, important contributions to promoting a better understanding of their scientific fields, and meritorious work and service to their communities. Awardees will be recognized at the AGU Fall Meeting in New Orleans in December.
