HMEI administers a variety of grants and is uniquely situated to support interdisciplinary research projects. HMEI has a track record of long-term support from government agencies, foundations, and industry partners. The Business Office, at HMEI, oversees the day-to-day financial and sponsored research management by providing excellent financial management services. Sponsored research responsibilities include pre- and post-award management of individual principal investigators for both internal and external funding sources. In addition, it assists with buying and paying activities as well as with travel and expense reimbursement processing.
