Interworlds: HMEI 2022 Summer Intern Art Show Reception

Over the summer of 2022, as part of HMEI’s Summer Internship Program, a group of Princeton students worked with HMEI Art and Media Specialist Barron Bixler to develop environmentally themed creative projects as an expression of, or in parallel to, their summer research.

The Hall Gallery in Butler College is hosting an exhibition of this work through November. The breadth and range of the projects in the exhibition span disciplines, ecosystems and artforms. Some are meditative, some playful, some introspective, some morally instructive. What they share is a searching curiosity about the complex relationships people have with the environments they shape and inhabit. They also delight in the discovery and creation of new, imaginative worlds.

Please join us to celebrate the students’ inspiring artworks, enjoy snacks and beverages, and debrief on how you spent fall recess!

This artists’ reception is open to all PUID holders. Students, staff, researchers and faculty are welcome. Please register here in advance so that we can plan accordingly.
