Application deadline for Barron Prize for Environmental Leadership
The Princeton Environmental Institute (PEI) is accepting nominations for the T. A. Barron Prize for Environmental Leadership through Wednesday, May 8. The Barron Prize recognizes a graduating Princeton University senior who has shown exceptional dedication to environmental concerns in formal classes, independent academic work, and by leading and encouraging fellow students and the community at large. The prize recipient will be announced on or before May 24 and recognized at the Program in Environmental Studies’ Class Day reception on Monday, June 3.
Students can be nominated by their departments or academic programs, University administrators, and members of the campus community. The nominating letter should be written by a member of the nominee’s academic department and should describe the candidate’s academic accomplishments and contributions. A seconding letter written by a member of the University faculty, staff, student body or community should speak to the student’s contributions to environmental leadership.
To submit a nomination, please mail or email the following materials to Amber Lee, PEI Undergraduate/Graduate Program Manager, 127 Guyot Hall, Princeton University, or amberlee@princeton.edu . Two letters (a nominating letter and a seconding letter of support); a copy of the candidate’s unofficial transcript; and the candidate’s current resume.
