“Global Megatrends and Their Impact on Business and Sustainable Investing”

Author Andrew Winston, a globally recognized speaker and business-strategy expert, will present “Global Megatrends and Their Impact on Business and Sustainable Investing,” at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in Julis Romo Rabinowitz Building, Room A17. Winston was recently the lunch keynote speaker at the Princeton Environmental Forum.

Winston will explore mega-trends such as extreme weather and the climate crisis, resource and water constraints, the explosion of clean technology, the rise of big data and radical transparency, and important shifts in generational views about what people want from the companies they buy from and work for. These growing pressures on business change how companies create value and profit. This talk will challenge the audience to rethink the question, “Does sustainable investing outperform?”

Winston, a graduate of Princeton’s Class of 1991, advises companies on how to navigate and profit from humanity’s biggest challenges. His most recent book, “The Big Pivot: Radically Practical Strategies for a Hotter, Scarcer, and More Open World,” proposes a fundamental shift in the way businesses function to address the current and future impacts of climate change.

This event is free and open to the public — registration is required. This talk is presented by C-Change Conversations and Princeton’s Bendheim Center for Finance.
